"I especially respect and love Hardwell as a person and a producer" #musicmoney sits down with Lndr

Where are you from?

I‘m born in and lived in for the past 20 years: The „Ruhrgebiet“ in the western heart of Germany (Rhine-Ruhr-Area/District) but recently I moved to Kassel (next to Frankfurt) with my girlfriend for her to start working at the theatre here.

Describe your sound:

Describing your sound isn‘t as easy as it should be - especially because I‘m just starting of with really releasing my music.

I‘m mostly producing progressive and future house tunes while I also have a great affection to the feel and vibe of melodic/euphoric hardstyle. I‘m currently on my way to really find my „own“ sound as you may call it but I‘m certain that you can clearly see where it‘s going by listening to my latest release ”Don't Wanna Wait!“ So, if you want to follow me on this journey, I‘m happy to have you on board!

Tell is about your latest track:

My latest release is a progressive house track named “Dont Wanna Wait“, I produced together with David Nash, an young talented artist from Germany I have known for quite some time. I am really excited about how the track turned out and how far we came in terms of sound design and energy. I am really proud to have David on board - Expect some new stuff from us in the near future!

Who inspires you?

This is a good question. I‘m inspired by many DJ‘s, producers and people in general. But to keep this musically and relevant I can list some that come to my mind. I really love Timmy Trumpet for his energy and performance on stage, keep Avicii‘s sound in my heart and really appreciate almost everything Martin Garrix was producing in his starting years. Recently I really got to love Tiesto‘s older stuff and I especially respect and love Hardwell as a person and a producer.

Where do you see your career in 5 years?

I hope to get out of this global crisis with many gigs and parties, learn and evolve my skills as a DJ and producer in general and following that bring out more exciting music. 5 years is a long time though so I generally hope to grow my audience and connect with more people out of the music business to really get going!

Where can we check out your sounds?

I’m currently releasing on Spotify, Deezer and Tidal.

In addition to that I“m releasing music videos and weekly DJ Mixes on my Youtube Channel “DJLndr“

Little previews may also be hinted at on Instagram (DJ_LNDR) :)

Tell us something about yourself that people need to know:

I know it seems quite odd to say but I recently realised that I‘m really too perfectionistic about my DJ mixes and productions. Often I just delete all I recently worked on and start over and over till I find exactly the tune or performance I had in mind. This is sometimes really frustrating when you e.g. make the same mistake in a mix over and over and people normally wouldn’t hear it but you really want to kill it.
