Where are you from?
I am originally from India but raised in London.
Describe your sound:
my sound is POP/alternative pop. I love trying out new genres and styles of music.
Tell us about your latest track:
My latest single “A Long Time” was a collaboration with Poo Bear. It was a very unexpected and surprising experience. I never imagined myself working with such a great producer at this age so It was truly an honor. I had so much fun and I got to learn so many things from him as a songwriter and as an artist. He tested my singing skills as I didn’t know what I was gonna sing till I got to the studio and he didn’t let me write the lyrics which was new for me. He was so enthusiastic about it that it really helped me to get through the whole process. We recorded in 1-1/2 hrs. It was truly the best day of my life. Another one of my recent tracks which has been produced by Academy nominated producer Kyle Townsend was an anti bully anthem “Give Me Your Hand” This song talks about my experiences of how I faced bullying, along with that this songs gives a beautiful message about not losing hope and fighting for yourself and being nothing but your true self. It was absolutely amazing working with Kyle on this song. Kyle is an amazing and fantastic producer who has made great tracks for many artists like Ariana a Grande , Andra Day, Fifth Harmony, Diane Warren but most importantly, it was so easy for me to connect with him because he makes music according what artist wants to say! For me, my music isn’t about looking for people who are guaranteed hit makers but rather finding yourself first as an artist then collaborating with those who understand each key of my thoughts and can bring justice to them.
Who inspires you?
Apart from my dad my inspiration would of course be the greatest legends, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion along with them I am inspired by Adele, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber.
Where do you see your career in 5 years?
I see myself performing live and making more beautiful songs for my lovely fans, interacting with them and seeing myself as their inspiration.
Where can we check out your sounds?
You can find me on Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube.
Tell us something about yourself that the people need to know...
It was quite tough to make my own recognition as people knew me as Kumar Sanu’s daughter. I was always compared to my dad which is strange for a beginner kid because we all know that no one can beat the legends not even myself so there shouldn’t have been any comparison in the first place. People also think that the reason why I got famous was only because of my dad. But I want to tell them that I’m struggling like an ordinary kid because I’m in a place where my dad is less known than in Bollywood. Yes if I was working in Bollywood and staying then it could’ve benefited me being Kumar Sanu’s daughter. But at the moment it is not true
"Amazing work. I will be back to build with you.
Much appreciated exposure" @StLukeTheKING
